Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance seeks a motivated Construction Project Intern - Summer 2027 to support owner’s representatives on construction and facilities projects. You will assist design reviews, coordinate with contractors, and communicate across teams within the real estate division.

Qualifications

Students should be enrolled and entering their junior or senior year in college.
A major in construction management or civil engineering is preferred.
Above-average communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to read and interpret floor plans.
Familiar with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and Procore or PlanGrid.
Competency to learn new software tools and handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

Act as owner’s representative on small- to medium-scale construction and facilities projects.
Participate in design meetings, review plans and logistics, coordinate with contractors.
Communicate with design and construction teams and company management.
Collaborate with real estate division, including facilities, security, and contract management.
Assist in non-construction projects within the real estate division as needed.
