Job summary

Altom Transport, a family-owned company with a nationwide footprint and Canada operations, is seeking an Owner Operator Driver. You will be a business owner responsible for safe transport of chemicals and petroleum products with modern tank trailers.

We require a CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement; Hazmat preferred. Expect 24/7 availability, independent work, and revenue potential through a 68% freight share and 100% fuel surcharge.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL Class A license with Tanker endorsement.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred; ability to obtain if not held.
• TWIC card preferred; must obtain after hire if not possessed.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tanker driving experience.
• Meet age 23 or older; clean MVR and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation of chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers in compliance with DOT rules.
• Maintain truck to meet inspection standards for long-haul operations.
• Load and unload following ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker procedures at loading points.
• Keep accurate logs, submit required paperwork, and follow Hazmat regulations.
• Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
• Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
• Meet mileage or hour requirements to sustain workload and company success.
• Be willing to work a 24/7 schedule when needed.
