Job summary

Nelson Group Construction Corp seeks a Construction Superintendent – Owner-Developer (Light Multifamily) to lead daily on-site operations across Cambridge, Somerville, Medford and surrounding areas. You will manage the project like your own asset, balancing aggressive delivery with uncompromising quality control.

The role requires 5+ years in residential construction supervision, direct experience on 3–12 unit wood-frame projects, and strong blueprint reading.

Qualifications

5+ years as a residential construction superintendent.
Direct experience completing 3–12 unit wood-frame multifamily projects.
Strong blueprint reading across architectural, MEP, structural, and civil plans.
Ownership mentality and understanding of financing and lease-up impacts.
Procore or similar project management software proficiency.
OSHA 30-Hour certification; Buildertrend/Procore certifications valued.

Responsibilities

Direct daily construction activities to align with developer's vision and budget.
Coordinate with in-house development, design architects, and property management.
Review change order requests and manage site logistics to prevent waste and delays.
Lead final unit turnover and coordination of punch lists with leasing or sales teams.
Maintain exhaustive daily logs with progress photos for ownership.
