Job summary

Boom Technology is seeking an Mechanical Engineer for early career with exceptional talent. You will own subsystems from concept to hardware, and you’ll work directly on engines like Boom’s two advanced designs, including through testing and iteration.

You’ll collaborate across propulsion, electrical, and manufacturing teams, tackle tough problems, and grow by leading real hardware initiatives in a fast-paced environment at Boom’s Centennial HQ.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent hands-on hardware experience.
• Hands-on hardware experience from internships, projects, or competitions.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling (NX/SolidWorks/CATIA) and structural/thermal FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Own parts of mechanical subsystems (fuel, lube, cooling, balance-of-plant) from concept through drawing release and integration.
• Design components and assemblies balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and testability.
• Plan and support assembly processes with floor-level manufacturing engineers for buildability and serviceability.
• Design and run component and system tests, instrument hardware, collect data, and inform decisions.
