BARNHART TRANSPORTATION is seeking an Escort Driver to join our team in Moncks Corner, SC. The role focuses on guiding oversize loads, maintaining clear dispatch communication, and ensuring compliance with route and permit requirements.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, experience in trucking or escorting, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Trucking or escorting experience.
• Knowledge of distances and measurements.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with manager and follow instructions on being dispatched on oversize loads.
• Communicate with drivers about meeting time and location.
• Relay load and permit information to manager.
• Bookkeeping of hours, fuel, hotels, food, mileage, etc.
• Long hours of driving.
• Calling out all necessary distances, routes, restrictions, cars, etc. for driver.
• Obtain NY certificate if not already obtained.
• Continuous training, learning, education as needed.
• Maintain working relationships with drivers.
• Other duties as assigned.
