Blanchard Machinery Company is seeking a Transport Driver II in Summerville, SC to operate commercial vehicles handling oversize and overweight loads. You will ensure loads are secured, perform inspections, and maintain compliant logs under DOT rules.

The role requires a valid South Carolina CDL A with a clean record and extensive experience hauling heavy equipment. Expect safe operations, adherence to schedules, and potential overnight travel where needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid SC Class A CDL with minimal violations in past 3 years.
• 5+ years hauling heavy equipment and oversized loads preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and SC roadways.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Transport oversize and overweight loads on public highways.
• Maintain HOS records, electronic and/or paper logs.
• Pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Secure loads properly before transit and inspect truck.
• Comply with DOT/state regulations and weight/size limits.
• Overnight travel as needed; reimbursement for meals/hotels.
