Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Regional Program Specialist - Reserve to support SAF and IS programs with overseas deployments. Staff are assigned to 6-month rotations plus training and must live on a military base and meet security and medical clearances.

The role focuses on emergency communication casework, program management, volunteer leadership, and operational support for mobile deployments across the SAF/IS portfolio.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of five years related experience in program management or related field is required.
• Strong computer, public speaking, and written communication skills are required.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in an individual or team environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate emergency communications and related support services for military members and families.
• Monitor service delivery and document activities; identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Build relationships with military leadership and installation partners; conduct outreach and briefings.
• Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, recognize, and offboard volunteers.
• Supervise service delivery teams and coordinate educational briefings, workshops, and events for SAF/IS objectives.
• Serve as deployable member of SAF Mobile Team; maintain readiness and meet medical and security standards.
