Job summary

Abbott House, Inc. in Mitchell seeks a Youth Care Worker for night shifts. You will regularly check sleeping residents, maintain a clean facility, and document observations to ensure safety and well-being.

When residents wake, you assist with morning routines and support positive interactions with youth, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and crisis de-escalation as needed. Full-time benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Begin shift at Abbott House after youths are asleep and monitor sleeping residents.
• Regularly check on residents during night hours and document observations.
• Assist with morning routines when youths wake and prepare for school.
• Ensure cleanliness of assigned areas and report maintenance needs.

Introduction

If you prefer working independently and can work night time hours or weekend hours, this position is for you! Typically the Youth Care Worker begins a shift at the Abbott House after all the young people have gone to bed. In the quiet of the evening, you are responsible for regularly checking on sleeping children, facility cleaning, and documentation. Once the girls wake up you will also be assisting with morning routines.

Wage Range

Starts at $18.00/hour based on experience. A complete benefit package is included for full-time employees.
