Job summary

Volunteers of America Minnesota in Blaine, MN is seeking an Awake Overnight Shift Supervisor to lead Behavioral Health Practitioners and Residential Counselors in a youth residential treatment facility.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour schedule focused on trauma-informed care, staff development, safety, and quality assurance.

The position offers a competitive salary of $63,000 per year and supports a therapeutic, culturally responsive environment for youth and families.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of successful leadership experience in mental health.
• 3 years direct-care with children/adolescents; 1 year residential preferred.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Behavioral Health Practitioners and Residential Counselors.
• Provide reflective supervision, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
• Schedule and supervise overnight residential staff, including 1:1 supervision and evaluations.
• Promote youth-centered, trauma-informed care aligned with treatment goals.
• Ensure safe, therapeutic environment and continuous quality improvement.
• Attend weekly TEAM meetings.
