Job summary

Volunteers of America Minnesota is seeking an Awake Overnight Shift Supervisor for a Youth Residential Treatment Facility in Blaine, MN. This full-time, on-site role involves leading overnight staff, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, and coordinating treatment plans with the clinical team.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed care, staff development, and quality assurance, reporting to program leadership.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 2 years of successful leadership experience in mental health.
• 3 years of direct-care experience with children/adolescents, residential setting preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Behavioral Health Practitioners and Residential Counselors.
• Provide reflective supervision, coaching and professional development support.
• Schedule and supervise overnight residential staff and conduct evaluations.
• Promote youth-centered, culturally responsive practices aligned with treatment goals.
• Ensure compliance with documentation, HIPAA, CARF and licensing requirements.
