Health & Human Services in North Carolina seeks a Youth Program Education/Assistant I to serve as an Overnight Teaching Assistant at Wright School in Durham, NC. The role provides direct services, instructional support, and implements a therapeutic behavior management system for children with challenging behavior.

The position is part-time (34 hours/week) with a night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., offering pro-rated state benefits including health insurance and retirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Associate degree in human services or GED with 2 years related experience.
• CPR certification and listing as a Nurse Aide required prior to direct patient care.
• Pre-employment CPI Physical Requirements Testing and training prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services and instructional support for students.
• Implement a therapeutic behavior management system.
• Collaborate with clinical staff in assessing behavior and planning treatment.
