Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking Youth Program Education Assistant I(s) to support the Whitaker Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility in Butner, NC. Responsibilities include supervising individuals, ensuring safety, and facilitating daily programming for teens with behavioral challenges.

Candidates should have an Associate's degree in a human services field or a high school/GED with related experience, CPR certification, and nursing aide credentials.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and listing as Nurse Aide I or II required prior to providing direct patient care.
• Associate's degree in human services or related field is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and ensure safety of individuals.
• Assist in educational and vocational programming.
• Facilitate indoor/outdoor leisure activities and encourage participation.
