Job summary

YMCA in San Diego is seeking a Residential Supervisor for the Overnight Shift (11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) at the Safe STAY Wellness Center to support young people aged 18-24.

You will supervise residents, respond to emergencies, and maintain records to ensure safety and a respectful, trauma-informed environment. The role requires evening/overnight availability and the ability to travel locally within San Diego County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social science, psychology or related field with 1 year of youth/family social service experience, or 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• One year of experience applying social work practices to individuals and families.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to residents during overnight shifts and enforce program rules.
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents and interactions with residents.
• Communicate updates to staff regarding resident behavior and incidents.
• Coordinate activities to promote community and well-being among residents.
