Job summary

Centerboard in Lynn, MA is seeking Direct Care Staff for an overnight, part-time role. You will support youth in a trauma-informed residential setting, helping with daily routines, safety, and skill-building.

The position emphasizes crisis response, documentation, and collaboration with treatment teams. Requirements: high school diploma, valid driver's license, MAP-certified medication administration; schedule Fridays and Saturdays 11 PM–7 AM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college coursework or a degree is a plus.
• Experience with youth or residential settings strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and willingness to use a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist youth with daily living activities including transportation, medical appointments, school, therapy, and life skills.
• Complete daily logs, incident reports, progress notes, and required program paperwork.
• Build healthy relationships, lead group and 1:1 sessions, and participate in daily activities.
• Apply de-escalation and behavior management techniques as trained.
• Participate in treatment meetings, maintain IBSP awareness, and advocate for residents.
• Maintain cleanliness, conduct room checks, plan meals, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Administer medications per MAP certification, complete random drug tests, and run fire drills as scheduled.
• Relay information across shifts, use On-Call system for support, and report concerns promptly.
• Attend trainings and track training hours in accordance with program and licensing standards.
