Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of MN is hiring a part-time Senior Youth Worker to work with at-risk youth experiencing homelessness in Duluth, MN. This role includes providing support and encouragement to youth while responding to their immediate needs.

Qualifications

• Some experience working with youth preferred but not required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a DHS level background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, basic needs, and encouragement to youth ages birth - 24 experiencing homelessness.
• Develop positive relationships with youth to help them identify needs and plan next steps.
• Respond to crisis and emergent needs of youth seeking shelter.

Skills

Experience with homeless youth

Effective working knowledge of positive youth development

Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)

CPR & first aid for infants, children, and adults
