BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced emergency and specialty care team in a full-time role. The ideal candidate will triage, obtain histories, and identify patients at risk, initiating CPR when needed and placing IVs and advanced catheters.

You will monitor ventilator cases and work alongside skilled technicians to deliver remarkable care to companion animals. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed veterinary technician (LVT).
• Experience in ICU/critical care preferred.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVs and advanced catheters (jugular, central lines, PICC).
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Collaborate with team to provide advanced animal care.
• Mentor and train fellow staff; support pet families.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician!

$3,000 Sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!

LVT I Pay: $22.25 - $32.00/Hr

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

• Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential

As a n ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
