Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Daytime ICU Veterinary Technician on a full-time basis. The role involves triage, critical care, IV catheter placement, monitoring ventilator cases, and collaboration with a skilled team to deliver advanced medicine for pets.

You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with opportunities for mentoring teammates and contributing to exceptional patient outcomes. Nights, weekends, and holidays flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary ICU or critical care settings preferred.

• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVCs and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator cases.
• Work with other techs and assistants to provide advanced medicine.
• Mentor and train other coworkers.
• Reunite patients with their families after care.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an Daytime ICU Veterinary Technician!

LVT I Pay: $22.25 - $32.00/Hr

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment, this is a full‑time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As a ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co‑workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
