Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced ER/ICU Veterinary Technician for a full-time role requiring flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

You will triage, monitor hospitalized patients, place IV catheters and advanced lines, assist with CPR, and mentor teammates while delivering compassionate care. We value professional development and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVs and advanced catheters (jugular, central lines, or PICC)
• Calculate and set up CRIs
• Monitor and care for all levels of hospitalized patients
• Collaborate with other technicians and assistants to provide advanced medicine
• Mentor and train co-workers
• Reunite pets with their owners after recovery

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an experienced ER/ICU Veterinary Technician!

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As an ER/ICU Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history


• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR


• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.


• Calculate and set up CRI's


• Monitor and care for all levels of hospitalized patients.


• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients


• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.


• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
