Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technicians to join our busy Emergency and Specialty departments. The position requires 12-hour night shifts (8pm-8am) and weekend/holiday availability, with pay ranging from $20.00 to $40.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency veterinary settings preferred.
• Ability to triage and obtain patient history.
• Ability to monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Emergency, Neurology, Oncology and Surgery departments.
• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVs and advanced catheters such as Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Work with other technicians and assistants to deliver advanced care.
• Mentor and train other co-workers.
• Help reunite pets with their parents.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Specialty departments!

Schedule:

Must be able to work 12 hour shifts - 8pm-8am. Weekend & holiday availability is required.

Pay:

$20.00 - $40.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool

As An Emergency Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Provide support to various departments within the hospital including Emergency, Neurology, Oncology and Surgery.
• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases.
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
