Job summary

Birkwood Village Assisted Living & Memory Care in Fort Madison, IA is seeking an Universal Caregiver/Medication Tech for our overnight team. The 3rd shift runs 10:00 p.m. - 6:20 a.m., with three weekly shifts plus alternating weekends.

Pay ranges from $15.00 to $18.25 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities and administering medications per care plans.

Qualifications

• CNA and/or AL Medication Tech certification preferred, but not required.
• Prior caregiving experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently overnight while staying connected to the care team.
• Reliable attendance and a genuine passion for working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, transfers).
• Administer medications per care plans and state guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Respond promptly and calmly to resident needs throughout the shift.
