Job summary

Birkwood Village in Fort Madison is seeking an Assisted Living/Memory Care Universal Caregiver for weekend mornings. You will provide hands-on, compassionate care in our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods as residents begin their day with comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• A caring heart and a desire to serve seniors.
• CNA certification preferred but not required (we're happy to train the right person)
• Dependable weekend availability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with transfers throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Assist with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping
• Support residents living with dementia with patience and kindness
• Watch for changes in residents' health or behavior and report them to the nurse
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families

Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour
