Allied Universal is hiring a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed for a high-profile client site in Bridgeport, CT. The role oversees security operations on an overnight shift (11pm–7am), Thursday to Sunday, ensuring safety and contract compliance while directing security staff and enforcing site post orders.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and 2+ years of security experience, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Associate’s degree or higher, military service, or police cadets/Guard experience.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable security experience.
• Excellent customer service and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write reports.
• Good planning, organization, and computer skills.
• Coaching, mentoring, and teamwork abilities.
• Synthesize facts, assess issues quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary according to site orders.
• Provide direction to subordinates on duty performance.
• Cross-train officers to improve versatility and site efficiency.
• Recommend productivity and cost-reduction measures.
• Suggest improvements for security surveys and post orders.
• Recommend personnel actions for staff under supervision.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for the shift.
• Ensure training and screening compliance for security personnel.
• Minimize overtime as directed by Allied Universal.
• Inspect personnel and performance to ensure service quality and contract compliance.
• Assist in payroll, incident reports and security surveys.
