Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to perform perimeter inspections and patrols across a retail and mall environment. You will provide courteous service, deter incidents, and act as a visible security presence while following policy and safety protocols.

You will maintain logs, report incidents, and coordinate with leadership and emergency responders. This is a full-time role based in Florida with a nightly schedule and a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Criminal history considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate per established protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout retail and common areas and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity and hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain logs and incident reports; communicate information with leadership and responders.
