Job summary

Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center (H&H) in Medina, OH is hiring a Domestic Violence Shelter Crisis Intervention Specialist for the 12am–8am shift. You will provide confidential, trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking, including crisis intervention, advocacy, hotline responses, and safety planning.

The role supports shelter operations, conducts workshops on self-sufficiency, documents work per policy, and collaborates with partner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR, First Aid, AED, and Narcan certifications preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with survivors of trauma, mental health, or addiction preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability; ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, trauma-informed support to survivors, including crisis intervention, advocacy, hotline responses, shelter intakes, referrals, safety planning, and follow-up care.
• Assist with shelter operations, including shelter coverage, safety, transportation, conflict resolution, and daily survivor engagement; facilitate workshops on self-sufficiency skills.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policy.
• Collaborate with agencies to secure services for survivors and support case managers and staff in individualized survivor plans.
• Participate in professional development and community representation.
