Job summary

The SYGMA Network in Danville, IL is seeking an overnight Operations Clerk to support the transportation department with clerical duties and DOT compliance. You will handle driver paperwork, logs, manifests, and daily reporting, acting as a liaison between office and operations.

This role emphasizes strong written and verbal communication, basic Excel/Word, and the ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment. Training on 2nd shift is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of prior customer service experience preferred.
• 2 years’ distribution/transportation experience in a high volume operation preferred.
• Valid driver's license with insurability.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
• Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
• Research operation challenges, order supplies, liaison between office and operations.
• Respond to delivery associate issues and provide support for a resolution.
• Process inbound freight paperwork weekly.
• Primary contact for inbound freight issues.
• Run daily reports for operations supervisors (observations, vehicle tracking).
• Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervision or management.
