Job summary

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is seeking a License Eligible Therapist to join the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center in Hampton, VA. The center provides urgent behavioral health services for individuals in acute mental health crises, including therapy, medication management, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention.

This role works as part of a multidisciplinary team providing rapid assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, psychiatric and medical monitoring,

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
• One year of clinical experience including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and case management functions.
• Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professions (LPC or LCSW) within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct psychiatric and medical monitoring, stabilization, and discharge planning.
