Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) seeks an Overnight Therapist to provide urgent behavioral health services at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center. The role supports crisis intervention, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team to reduce acute symptoms and prevent hospitalization when possible.

Licensed or license-eligible candidates must meet Virginia credentials: LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist with two years of post-graduate

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Mental Health Clinician (LCSW, LPC, or licensed psychologist) with two years post-graduate experience.
• Licensed eligible candidates must be eligible for MCO credentialing.
• Licensed Eligible: Master’s in Social Work or Counseling with supervision toward licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team delivering rapid assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, and medical monitoring.
• Participate in stabilization and discharge planning to reduce acute symptoms and avoid hospitalization when appropriate.
