Preble Street is seeking a full-time 3rd shift Housing Support Staff for the Teen Services team in Portland, ME. The role focuses on building relationships with youth (ages 12-21), maintaining safety, and supporting clients in a 24/7 setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of relevant experience, including work with at-risk youth or in residential settings. A background check and on-site CPR/First Aid training are required.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience.
• One year working with at-risk youth or in a residential setting.
• Understanding of homelessness, social work theory and practice; familiarity with community resources; ability to set boundaries; strong communication; teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with clients and support their needs.
• Maintain client safety and monitor security of the Teen Center and Shelter.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in a low-barrier setting.
