Job summary

ABM Industries in Abilene is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee daily facility operations and lead a high-performing team. The role focuses on safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and client satisfaction while supervising staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with standards.

The position is on site, with a 5pm–5am shift, Monday through Saturday. The pay is $46 per hour, with final offers based on experience and market data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale industrial or manufacturing construction environments.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience, including managing and developing teams.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Ability to adjust work schedule as needed to support the operation.
• Ability to effectively communicate and to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and procedural manuals, and handbooks.
• Ability to resolve issues under tight timeframes and pressure.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and projects and to multi-task within restricted time constraints.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, detail orientation with solid analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

• Implement and manage quality control monitoring and safety programs; maintain a safe work environment.
• Achieve operational performance and functional service activities.
• Provide technical guidance and interpret policies and procedures to assist employees in performing functional tasks.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels and daily schedules.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.
