Job summary
HRDC Livingston Warming Center is seeking Overnight Staff to supervise the shelter, assist guests with intake, provide advocacy and referrals, and maintain records. The role includes coordinating with volunteers, ensuring safety, and upholding confidentiality and program guidelines in a warm, respectful environment. This is a part-time, contract position through the winter season, with 6:30pm shifts and potential for additional hours.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school or GED is required.
Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in Social Services, Public Health or related field preferred.
Responsibilities
Supervises facility activities to ensure safety of guests.
Conducts intake and orientation of guests with advocacy, resource referral and crisis intervention as needed.
Maintains customer files and completes required forms and data entry.
Works as a team with volunteers and communicates shift briefings to shelter staff.
Participates in training and adheres to shelter policies and procedures.
