Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for residents, guests, and staff. You will patrol buildings and grounds, respond to alarms, and document incidents, ensuring daily security operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; age 18+.
• 2+ years related security experience preferred.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication with residents and team.
• Basic computer proficiency for log books and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies.
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity.
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports.
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas.
• Assist with emergency response procedures.
• Escort residents and team members after hours.
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance.
• Secure and unlock areas per policy.

What We’re Looking For:
