Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and team members. You will monitor property, respond to incidents, escort after-hours, and support risk management practices.

We value strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. A HS Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license (if required) are preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 18+ is required.
• 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license (if required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas
• Assist with emergency response procedures
• Escort residents and team members after hours
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance
• Secure and unlock areas per policy
