Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas seeks an Overnight Security Officer to ensure guest and staff safety, follow safety standards, and complete incident reports. The role requires overnight availability, including weekends and holidays, with duties ranging from patrols to first aid.

Responsibilities include acting in the Emergency Response Team, reporting policy violations, cash counts, and maintaining Daily Activity Reports.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset to meet guests' needs in a fast-paced hotel setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication for guest and team interactions.
• Ability to stand long periods and walk moderate distances.
• Flexibility to work overnights, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks and incident reporting.
• Previous security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall safety and security of hotel guests, colleagues and premises.
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding to fires, accidents, safety concerns and medical calls.
• Investigate and report any violations to law or hotel policy.
• Provide First Aid and CPR as required.
• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control.
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.

Role

The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for the oversight of the safety and security of the hotel guests and employees. This person will follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.

• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, Colleagues and hotel premises
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance
• Investigate and report any violations to law or hotel policy

• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report
