Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX seeks a Security Officer to oversee guest and employee safety, follow safety standards, and file incident reports. The role includes First Aid/CPR as needed, regular patrols, and incident documentation.

You will perform emergency response, assist guests with facilities information, and contribute to a secure, welcoming environment for all visitors.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Prior security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall safety and security of guests, colleagues and hotel premises (including access control and incident response).
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding to fires, accidents and medical calls.
• Investigate and report violations of law or hotel policy.
• Provide First Aid and CPR as required.
• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts, and crowd control.
• Maintain daily activity records in the incident log.

Summary

Schedule Requirements: Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays.

Role

The Security Officer is responsible for the oversight of the safety and security of the hotel guests and employees. This person will follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, Colleagues and hotel premises
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance
• Investigate and report any violations to law or hotel policy
• Provide First Aid and C.P.R. as required
• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
