Job summary

Allied Universal in Smithfield, NC is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Customer Service Patrol to protect facilities and support client operations in lumber manufacturing and industrial settings.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access, report observations, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding site policies. Applicants should be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and pass background checks, drug testing, and licensing where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by employer and law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and report findings.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization; report anomalies.
• Complete activity reports and shift logs in accordance with company/site requirements.
