Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer Unarmed Customer Service Patrol in Smithfield, NC. This full-time role focuses on protecting clients, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a visible security presence at an industrial site.

The position requires basic computer or tablet use, prior customer service experience, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Shift schedule includes daytime to overnight rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a lumber manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, lumber storage areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Customer Service Patrol in Smithfield, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use clear communication and basic computer or tablet skills to support daily operations, report observations, and assist employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
