Allied Universal in Smithfield, NC is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Customer Service Patrol to protect facilities and support client operations in lumber manufacturing and industrial settings.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access, report observations, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding site policies. Applicants should be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and pass background checks, drug testing, and licensing where required.

Responsibilities

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use clear communication and basic computer or tablet skills to support daily operations, report observations, and assist employees and visitors. Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed 05:30 PM - 05:30 AM, Thur 05:30 PM - 05:30 AM, Fri 05:30 PM - 05:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a lumber manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, lumber storage areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
