Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is hiring an Overnight Security Officer in Bloomington, IL for a full-time overnight shift. Wage ranges from $18.50 to $20.00 per hour. The role emphasizes customer service, de-escalation, and proactive safety measures.

You will conduct access control, patrol duties, and report safety issues while collaborating with a regional management team for growth and advancement opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license with clear driving record.
• High School Diploma, GED or GED completion within 6 months.
• 2 years of security experience required.
• Basic computer/tech skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Law enforcement or military experience is a plus.
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse people.
• Strong attention to detail and alertness on shift.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate when needed.
• Control access at security entrances and exits.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas, in various weather and terrain.
• Interact with client employees and guests frequently.
• Identify and report safety hazards or suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written incident and security reports.
• Collaborate with team to meet site goals daily.
• Performs tasks similar in scope as assigned at the site.

Overnight Security Officer — Full Time — Bloomington, IL
Wage: $18.50-$20.00/HR
Available Schedule: 3rd / Overnight Shift
Join our team at Securitas Security where you will have the opportunity to serve the community while receiving elite training in safety and security. We are seeking customer service driven individuals for security positions. We have a dedicated Region and Area Management Support Staff which will foster you through your growth and advancement in the company.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• 2 years of security experience required.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
