Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. in Bloomington, IL is looking for a Mobile Security Officer on a full-time basis. The role involves guarding client sites, performing access control, and patrolling to ensure safety.

You will respond to incidents with calm professionalism and document events with detailed reports. The position requires an 18+ year-old with a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to complete GED within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to work in Bloomington, IL.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required.
• High School Diploma or GED; able to complete GED within 6 months.
• 2 years security experience preferred; customer service background preferred.
• Law enforcement or military background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Provide access control at entrances and exits.
• Conduct patrols inside/outside client premises, on foot or in a vehicle.
• Interact with client employees and guests regularly.
• Identify and report safety issues and hazardous conditions.
• Prepare detailed written reports.
• Work in a team to achieve site goals.
• Perform other duties as required for the site.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain on foot and/or in a company vehicle.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• 2 years security experience preferred.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
