Job summary

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking a Security Guard to join the Security Department at the Kamehameha Industrial Center. The role supports a safe environment for employees, vendors, visitors, and assets, performing daily guard duties.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid/AED certification, and security experience; willing to obtain the Guard Card within 90 days; proficient with MS Office and communications tools; capable of calm, decisive action in emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Guard Card registration not required at time of hire; must be obtained within 90 days.
• Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification required.
• 1 year of experience in physical security with alarms/video systems.
• Completion of security courses/certification through military/police programs is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to document incidents clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for employees, vendors/contractors, visitors, materials and assets on site.
• Perform daily guard duties under the direction of the Security Supervisor.
• Monitor surroundings and security systems to identify potential threats and respond appropriately.
