Job summary

Westtown School in West Chester, PA is seeking a Security Officer for Saturday overnight shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This part-time role helps maintain safety for students, staff, and visitors across the 600-acre campus.

Responsibilities include patrols on foot or by golf cart, monitoring CCTV, responding to alarms, and reporting incidents. A High School diploma, CPR/AED, and a valid driver's license are required; EMT preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college is preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification required; EMT certification is desired but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving history; prior security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for students, employees, campus residents, and guests.
• Maintain safety and security of all campus buildings and grounds through rounds and surveillance.
• Investigate and report unsafe conditions and suspicious activity.
• Develop and maintain positive relations with students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to alarms and calls for assistance.
• Provide basic first aid and medical attention as appropriate.
• Complete daily activity logs and pass-on information to department personnel.
• Notify police, fire department and school officials in emergencies.
• Participate in training and departmental meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
