Job summary

The Hill School in Pottstown, PA seeks a Campus Security Officer for the part-time 2nd shift (3pm–11pm), working every other weekend and some holidays. The officer protects students, staff, and visitors and provides escorts and basic safety support on campus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Visual acuity and ability to walk extensively, including hills and stairs.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls access through the Gate House and to campus buildings and grounds for faculty, staff, students and approved vendors.
• Responds to emergency alarms, disturbances and other situations as needed.
• Provides first aid if necessary.
• Alerts appropriate authorities when needed.
• Patrols by vehicle and by foot on campus grounds.
• Locks/unlocks buildings and reports potential safety hazards.
• Enforces campus policies and regulations related to conduct, safety, and security, acting promptly and notifying the appropriate parties for resolution.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall success and mission of the institution.
