Job summary

The Grand Healthcare System in East Meadow, NY is seeking an RN Supervisor for the overnight shift (11pm-7am) at Fulton Commons Care Center to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care in a long-term care setting.

Minimum 2 years in long-term care and at least 1 year in a Unit Manager role are preferred. Valid RN license is required, with strong communication and computer skills for documentation and coordination of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in a Unit Manager role (preferred).
• Valid RN license required.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and manage unit operations.
• Develop, implement, and enforce employee policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant care delivery.
• Mentor and support less experienced nurses, offering clinical guidance and career development advice.
• Establish and uphold standards of care for the unit to ensure resident safety and well-being.
• Review resident records and monitor the quality of care provided to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
• Conduct case reviews and ensure that individualized care plans are consistently followed.
• Address inquiries and concerns from residents and their families in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure the unit is adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies to prevent shortages and ensure smooth operations.
• Advocate for the unit’s interests to upper management and collaborate in addressing issues as needed.
