Job summary

Fulton Commons Care Center in New York is seeking a Part-time RN Supervisor for the 3pm-11pm evening shift to lead nursing staff and ensure the highest quality resident care.

You will supervise day-to-day unit operations, mentor less-experienced nurses, enforce policies, review resident records, and advocate for residents while coordinating with management to maintain standards and efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in long-term care (preferred).
• At least 1 year in a Unit Manager role (preferred).
• Valid RN License.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and manage unit operations.
• Develop, implement, and enforce employee policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant care delivery.
• Mentor and support less experienced nurses, offering clinical guidance and career development advice.
• Establish and uphold standards of care for the unit to ensure resident safety and well-being.
• Review resident records and monitor the quality of care provided to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
• Conduct case reviews and ensure individualized care plans are followed.
• Address inquiries and concerns from residents and their families in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure the unit is adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies to prevent shortages and ensure smooth operations.
• Advocate for the unit’s interests to upper management and collaborate in addressing issues as needed.
