Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Ortho Med Surg team. The RN will manage patient care episodes, coordinate care with nursing assistants, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an RN license in Minnesota, BGO/BLS as per AHA guidelines, and a BSN preferred with completion expected within 2 years of hire. 0.9 FTE with straight overnight 12-hour shifts and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
• BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

Responsibilities

• The RN manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care.
• Coordinate and supervise patient care delegated to Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Deliver care across the lifespan with safety and quality focus.
