Resources for Human Development (RHD) in Glassport, PA is seeking an empathetic Registered Nurse (RN) for an overnight, part-time role (11pm–7am, 2–3 shifts weekly) in a long-term structured residence for adults with behavioral health needs.

The RN will monitor residents, administer medications, and coordinate care with psychiatrists and community providers while helping residents build recovery plans and independence.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania RN license required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Act 33/34 Clearances.
• FBI clearance when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily mental status assessments and monitor residents' health and wellness.
• Administer medications and maintain eMAR.
• Identify early signs of psychiatric relapse, medication side effects, and medical concerns.
• Coordinate physical and behavioral healthcare with psychiatrists, physicians, and community providers.
• Develop, document, and support individualized recovery plans focused on resident strengths and goals.
• Complete nursing assessments, physicals, and required clinical documentation.
• Provide education on medication management, wellness, and healthy living.
• Assist residents with scheduling and attending medical appointments as needed.
• Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, staff meetings, trainings, and case consultations.
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards, Joint Commission requirements, and organizational policies.
