Job summary

Minnesota Masonic Home in Bloomington, MN is seeking registered nurses for our Transitional Care Unit. We offer up to a $2000 sign-on bonus, overnight shift differential of $3/hour, and a compassionate team devoted to elder care.

Responsibilities include monitoring residents, administering medications, admitting/discharging, supervising staff, and maintaining accurate documentation with HIPAA compliance. MN RN licensure and CPR certification are required; full-time and part-time overnight roles

Qualifications

• RN license valid in Minnesota; CPR certification required.
• Experience in geriatric or transitional care preferred.
• Strong patient care, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts with shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident needs, condition and care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Transcribe and execute physician orders; complete documentation.
• Admit and discharge residents; coordinate with RN/Supervisor and physicians.
• Oversee TMA/NAR staff and report changes in condition promptly.

DUTIES Major job functions include performing nursing tasks to assure resident needs are met. This includes:

• Monitoring resident needs, condition and care
• Administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
• Orders and receives medications from the pharmacy
• Admits and discharges residents
• Oversees TMA/NAR staff
• Reports changes of condition to RN/Supervisor and physician as delegated

In addition, the RN will transcribe and execute physician orders; complete documentation as required; completes fall reporting; reports any bruises, skin tears and abuse/neglect; gives report to nursing staff; follows and upholds Resident Bill of Rights and facility policies and procedures; maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA requirements, etc. Provides excellent customer service and communication to all residents/families/visitors/MD's/ coworkers, etc

This position requires RN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing. Must have current CPR certification. Must have a desire to work with the elderly and those in transition. Must maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

Full and Part time Overnight positions available, includes $3/hour shift differential for overnight shift.
