Job summary

Mental Health Support Services, located in Chesterfield County, seeks a full-time Residential Aide (Direct Support Professional) to provide direct supervision, supports, and training in skill acquisition and community integration for individuals with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring conditions in a residential setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of Human Services experience, and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college coursework or experience in human services preferred.
• One year of experience in the Human Services field; group home experience preferred.
• Medication administration certification preferred; EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and teaching to adults with intellectual disabilities and related needs.
• Supervise residents in a group home; support inclusion and self-directed services.
• Assist with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, meals, and money management.
• Maintain safe, clean living environment and enforce policies.
• Document progress notes and Medicaid Waiver paperwork in an EHR system.
• Transport and escort clients to services and activities as needed.
