Job summary

Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) in Chesterfield County seeks a full-time Residential Aide to provide direct supervision, supports, and training for adults with intellectual disabilities in group homes.

The role focuses on skill acquisition, community integration, personal care, medication assistance, and safety within a home-like setting. Overnight shift Wed–Sat, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, with driving duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year in Human Services preferred.
• Medication administration certification preferred; experience with an electronic health record preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, stairs, standing) and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and training to adults with intellectual disabilities in a group home.
• Assist with activities of daily living and medication administration.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and document notes in the EHR.
• Transport and escort clients to services and activities.
• Respond to emergencies and implement crisis interventions as needed.
