Job summary

Chesterfield County’s Mental Health Support Services is hiring a full-time Residential Aide to provide supervision, supports, and training in group homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, medication administration, and community integration, working evening shifts in a residential setting.

Required is a high school diploma or GED, one year in human services, and a valid driver’s license; pre-employment checks and safety-sensitive duties

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience in human services preferred.
Medication administration certification and EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide support and teaching to adults with intellectual disabilities.
Supervise residents in a group home setting and support decision making.
Assist with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, meals, housekeeping, money management.
Monitor and guide residents in program activities.
Maintain safe, clean living environment and enforce rules.
Handle emergencies and apply crisis interventions as needed.
Transport clients to appointments and activities.
Prepare and maintain casework documentation in an EHR system.
